SANTIAGO DE CHILE, VALPARAÍSO Y ZAPALLAR
Alguna vez pregunté ¿en qué lugar del pacífico mirarían el atardecer tomando champaña?, varias personas coincidieron “en Zapallar”. Ahí partí yo a recorrer primero la ciudad capital de Chile: Santiago, ubicada en el centro del extenso y estrecho país, rodeado de la cordillera de Los Andes, con sus parques-cerros, distintos barrios- artesanos, bares, restaurantes, comerciales, histórico, aristocráticos…-, calles arboladas, gente amable. Luego continué hacia la previsible caótica Valparaíso( yo antes de llegar la imaginaba mezcla de La Boca y Punta Lara – en mi país- algún pueblo del Mar de Liguria- por sus callecitas bajando al mar), pero imposible de recorrer sin perderse por sus miles de calles que suben y bajan, se entrecruzan, se pierden entre sus casas de colores incrustadas en los cerros, se encuentran con sus ascensores antiquísimos para ascender a los mismos, sus buses que giran alocadamente por sus curvas y sus bares. Por suerte para mi había contratado un guía local que me enseñó lo que mis ojos querían retratar, y que luego junto con su esposa terminaron siendo mis amigos del otro lado de la frontera con quienes intercambiamos datos y cuando vienen a mi Buenos Aires me visitan. Valparaíso enmarcada por la Bahía y los cerros fue declarada “Patrimonio de la Humanidad”.
Continué mi camino pasando por la aristocrática Viña del Mar, por las playas anchas de Reñaca y Con-Con, pasé por la isla de pingüinos de Cachagua y llegué a Zapallar- una Portofino en el pacífico-, una bahía escondida, llena de gaviotas, con casas palaciegas en la montaña, helipuerto propio, dos bares en la playa, costanera de piedra exquisitamente diseñada para recorrerla y descansar en sus bancos de plaza distribuidos a lo largo de ella. Valía la pena “llegar”, el lugar es un lujo, un rincón solo para amantes del silencio y de los lugares poco convencionales, fuera de los conocidos centros turísticos.

Fortunately for me had hired a local guide who taught me what my eyes wanted to portray, and then with his wife ended up being my friends across the border with whom we exchange data and come to me when I visited Buenos Aires. Valparaiso framed by the Bay and the hills was declared "World Heritage".
I continued my way through the aristocratic Vina del Mar, Reñaca of wide beaches and Con-Con, I passed by the island of penguins arrived Cachagua to Zapallar and-a-peaceful Portofino in a hidden bay, full of gulls, with palatial homes in the mountains, own heliport, two bars on the beach, coastal stone cross and exquisitely designed to rest on its banks plaza spread over it. Were worth "reach", the place is a luxury, a corner only for lovers of silence and unconventional places, outside the known tourist resorts.
